Learn while you train.
Instruction and hands-on training happen together. See the movement, try it, ask what it is intended to work, and receive feedback on your technique and effort.
The Discovery Experience
The Discovery Experience is a 12-week fitness course that brings personal coaching, hands-on practice, and people learning beside you together—so you can build strength and understand your training.
12 weeks · Two coached sessions each week · Independent practice
01 / Start with where you are
You may have exercised for years. Yet the routine you know can leave you wondering what to change when your body feels different.
There are plenty of workouts to follow. It can be harder to know which movements to choose, how they should feel, or whether you are making progress.
You deserve time to ask those questions and guidance you can put to work. That is where The Discovery Experience begins.
02 / A course you put into practice

A gym gives you somewhere to exercise. The Discovery Experience gives your learning a structure over 12 weeks.
It is a science-based course taught through training. Your coach explains a movement and its purpose, helps you practice it, and gives you feedback. You can ask questions as you work, alongside other people learning too.
Between coached sessions, you practice what has been taught. Then you return with something to build on: a question, a movement to refine, or a clearer sense of what you can do. Instruction, coaching, practice, and community work together throughout the course.
03 / Your week in the experience
Each part gives you something to use in the next. You are learning through the work, with opportunities to revisit what is unclear.
Instruction and hands-on training happen together. See the movement, try it, ask what it is intended to work, and receive feedback on your technique and effort.
Independent practice gives you time to work with the instruction. Notice what feels clearer and what you want help with when you return.
Bring your questions into the next session. Your coach can help you revisit a movement, refine your practice, and build on the learning across 12 weeks.
04 / Skills you can use
Use coached practice to explore the movements being taught. These are useful questions to bring into your sessions.
Ask for instruction and feedback as you practice the movements being taught.
Ask about the purpose of the exercise and why it is included.
Tell your coach what you are doing and what feels unclear.
Discuss the feedback you receive and how to use it in practice.
Bring questions about applying what you have learned and where you still need guidance.
05 / Learning alongside others
You can ask a question, work on a movement, and hear how someone else is making sense of the same instruction.
Practicing alongside others creates opportunities to encourage one another and recognize progress: a technique that feels clearer, an adjustment that makes sense, or a question someone has found the words to ask.
You do not need the same experience or goals as the person beside you. You share the work of learning, with coaching to help you take your own next step.

RON CARTMELL FOUNDER & COACH06 / Meet Ron Cartmell
Ron brings NFL experience, competitive bodybuilding, and studies in nursing and behavioral and clinical psychology to his perspective on coaching.
His approach centers on teaching what he has learned in an environment where people can ask questions. During the experience, that means explaining the purpose of an exercise, helping you practice, and taking time to discuss what to adjust.

Here is the commitment at a glance. Use your inquiry to tell us about your training experience and what you would like help with.
08 / A few practical questions
If your question is not covered here, include it in your inquiry.
Ask us a questionBring that experience with you. The course gives you opportunities to ask why a movement is included, practice it with feedback, and work on what is still unclear. Your inquiry is a place to describe what you have tried and what you want to learn.
The focus is learning how to train. Tell us about your experience, whether you are getting started or returning with questions. Include your questions about getting started in your inquiry.
You practice what has been taught and bring questions back to your coach. Ask about practice expectations, equipment, and access arrangements when you inquire.
The Discovery Experience welcomes adults who want to build strength and learn how to train. Participants can bring different backgrounds and goals to the shared learning environment.
Use “Find your starting point” to reach the inquiry form. It prepares an email that you review and send from your email app. Preparing the email does not book a session or enroll you in the course.
